Abstract
This article offers an ontological and theological reflection on the multidimensional constitution of the human being, based on Chapter 62 of the work Ontology GAESEMA. Drawing from spiritual traditions, biblical anthropology, and the insights of GAESEMA Philosophy, the text discusses the seven bodies of the human being as energetic and spiritual expressions that shape earthly experience and the soul’s journey in the afterlife. The work proposes an integrated vision of body, soul, and spirit, and introduces an African spiritual model of transition and consciousness ascension.

Introduction
The concept that the human being is composed of multiple bodies beyond the physical is an idea found in various spiritual and philosophical traditions. This view proposes that, in addition to the physical body, there are other subtle envelopes that interact with and influence the human experience. Angolan thinker Gilson Guilherme Miguel Ângelo contributes to this discussion by suggesting the existence of multiple spheres of energy, where the soul may transit after physical death, depending on its choices and spiritual evolution. This article presents the seven bodies as understood in GAESEMA Ontology, based on theological, philosophical, and spiritual perspectives.

1. Physical Body: The Material Vehicle of the Soul
The physical body is the material and biological structure that allows the human being to interact with the tangible world. Composed of flesh, blood, bones, and organs, it is the soul’s temporary envelope during the earthly experience. In Scripture, the body is treated as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), which grants it undeniable spiritual dignity. The anthropo-theological trichotomy—body, soul, and spirit—recognizes the relevance of the physical body as an essential component of human existence. It should not be seen as an obstacle to the spiritual, but as an instrument of divine realization on the earthly plane. Therefore, caring for the body is a way of honoring spirituality. For GAESEMA philosophy, the physical body is also the first level of manifestation of productive consciousness and individual sovereignty.

2. Etheric Double: The Energetic Field of Vitality
The etheric double is the energetic counterpart of the physical body. It forms a matrix of forces that vitalizes the organs, tissues, and physiological systems. Acting as a link between the physical and more subtle planes, this body conducts vital energy, also called prana, chi, or axé, depending on the tradition. According to GAESEMA Ontology, after physical death, the etheric double does not immediately disappear but undergoes a process of dissipation that can last up to 40 days, according to Brazilian Pedro Augusto. The moral and spiritual state of the person directly influences this process: the higher the ethical and harmonious vibration, the faster and smoother its dissolution. Conversely, people who aligned with evil during life may have their etheric double imprisoned by dark entities. The etheric double also suffers the most from technological and environmental interferences in the modern era, requiring constant protection and purification practices.

3. Astral Body or Perispirit: The Body of Emotions and Desire
The astral body, also known as the perispirit, is the non-material envelope that allows the soul’s emotional experience. It is the body through which feelings, passions, and desires manifest, being responsible for the vibrations that attract or repel entities and situations. In Spiritism and esoteric traditions, the perispirit is also the means of communication between the material and spiritual worlds, being the body that unfolds in dreams, astral travel, and out-of-body experiences (OBEs). The density and transparency of the astral body vary according to spiritual evolution: the purer the individual, the more subtle and radiant their perispirit. For GAESEMA, this body is the field where internal wars between ego and spirit are fought. Reprogramming the astral body requires inner work, emotional discipline, forgiveness, and self-love.

4. Lower Mental Body: Rational Mind and Personality
The lower mental body is the center of intellectual, logical, and concrete processes. It is responsible for rational thought, memory, and mental constructs that define personality and everyday behavior. This body organizes experiences, stores knowledge acquired over multiple lives, and structures the formation of beliefs, values, and ideas. In GAESEMA Ontology, the lower mental body is seen as a “cultural field of the soul,” where good or bad seeds can be planted through thoughts. The quality of thoughts directly affects the being’s vibration: negative thoughts create density and attract pain; elevated thoughts generate light and attract healing. Mental re-education is essential for soul elevation and can be achieved through meditation, uplifting reading, prayer, and philosophical study.

5. Higher Mental Body: The Body of Divine Ideas and Intuition
The higher mental body, also called the causal body, is the plane where archetypal ideas, universal wisdom, and the capacity for spiritual intuition reside. It transcends linear reasoning and connects directly with the divine mind. The comprehension of principles such as truth, justice, beauty, and goodness in their pure state occurs in this body. From Gilson Guilherme Miguel Ângelo’s perspective, this is the body that holds karmic records and each soul’s life mission. Connecting to the higher mental body means aligning with the divine plan and understanding the purpose of one’s existence. At this level, great revelations, elevated vocations, and existential directions emerge. Purifying this body requires inner silence, contemplation, and openness to the sacred.

6. Buddhic Body: The Consciousness of Unity and Unconditional Love
The buddhic body is the body of direct experience of unity with all life. It is the vehicle of Christ consciousness, where unconditional love, compassion, and divine wisdom manifest fully. In this body, the human being transcends individual identity and recognizes themselves as part of the Whole. GAESEMA philosophy considers the buddhic body the field of universal fraternity and planetary consciousness. The individual who develops this body can act altruistically, forgive unconditionally, and live with deep empathy. The buddhic body is activated through the practice of good, transcendental meditation, service to others, and the abandonment of the ego. Great souls who marked history with love and wisdom—such as Jesus, Buddha, Mandela, and others—consciously manifested this body.

7. Atmic Body: The Divine Spark and Supreme Realization
The atmic body is the most subtle, elevated, and permanent of the seven bodies. It represents the divine spark that dwells in every human being, the Higher Self, the purest spiritual identity. In this body, there is no separation between Creator and creature: the individual merges with the divine will and acts as a co-creator of the universe. The soul’s full realization occurs at this level, when it is freed from cycles of reincarnation and suffering, reaching conscious eternity. For GAESEMA Ontology, the atmic body is the point of return, the origin, and the final destiny of the being. Developing this body requires the harmonious integration of all previous bodies and a life dedicated to truth, love, and inner freedom.

Conclusion
Understanding the seven bodies of the human being offers an integrated and profound view of existence. Each body represents a level of consciousness and experience that contributes to the evolution of the soul. By addressing this theme, GAESEMA philosophy provides a spiritual map that values both matter and spirit, pointing to the need for an ethical, conscious, and loving life. Human beings are called to cultivate all their bodies as instruments of divine realization and spiritual ascension.
